Designed in the 1950’s, its frame and lid are made of steel and are plated with chrome to bring a little shine to your kitchen. The carafe is made of glass and the handle of thick black plastic. The coffees oils are not removed and this results in a complex, rich brew that is bold and has a heavy body. Also, there is no paper filter to buy or throw away, eliminating waste.
